Sunflower and Me



I have a little sunflower plant,
I water it everyday and watch it grow,
It has a tiny bud about to glow..


I nurture and nourish it well,
For it has to face the world big and mighty,
Even at night when it misses the sunlighty..


I think to myself,
After my little flower blooms & unfolds,
Will it like its life and the tiny little world..?


Today, finally the day has come,
Its shining and smiling at the sun..
Oh, I just love it and No pun !!


I'm glad that this flower will live its life,
Bask in the beautiful sun,
And go back into the mud
When it's time has come..


I'd be left alone,
Waiting for one day ..
To silently go and meet the flower on my way..
