The start of something?
To time that most fickle of thieves
through Winter snows and Autumn leaves
To city-scapes and woodland eaves
upon shores where the tide heaves
To mountains high
who kiss the sky
To valleys low
where rivers flow
To nights as black
as wing-borne ravens
To days as bright
as heartfelt havens
To the wax and wane
of the midnight moon
To the guileless joy
of a love-struck swoon
To ageless counsel
borne of need
To which the young
never heed
To the mindless fool
prey of the petty cruel
To the foremost of our race
bound with otherworldly grace
