The Gym I take my position about to begin

Head phones blasting ready to uncage the beast within

Gripping the bar with all my might

Sweat dripping from my forehead anticipating a fight

One, two, three, four and then five.

Blood is pumping, muscles burning feeling alive

Six, seven, eight, nine and ten.

Body aches as I reposition ready to start again.

1 set, 2 sets, 3 sets then four

Thinking there are not enough hours in the day I want to do more.

The gym is my drug, my drink, my sin.

Heart racing, sweat dripping, blood pumping under my skin.
