Under my skin You can break my beating heart in two 'cause I can feel no pain.
You can stab me in the back; it's all the same.
If you look into my eyes I know exactly what you'll see:
You'll see the old and dead version of me.

When you look at me I know you look into my eyes.
I know that you see right through my disguise.
I know that to most I am just another stupid girl.
But I want to be somebody's whole world.


When I try to get attention I know that you won't notice.
I am quite aware that I just don't exist.
I know I'm just a figment and I'm not real at all.
But I was hoping that you could help break my fall.
If you get under my skin again I know that I'll explode. My other half keeps me from being alone. The fear of getting angry is what helps to keep me sane, the way you smile puts my tears to shame. You can see right through me and you get under my skin. The way you play I guess I'll never win...


If I were to scream at you could you still hear me cry?
If I can't breathe I want you to watch me die.
When you know that I have lost it will you mind that I'm insane?
It's good to see that some things never change.
You can see right through me, but I guess I'll try again. The way you play, I guess I'll never win...
