Laughter of Poetry
Why do you laugh?
Do you laugh at our words because you are so close-minded that you spit in the direction of our ideas and emotions?
Do you think you are so above the standard you may crush our dreams?
I give you insight, not petty insults.
I give to you the fact we may change this world for the purpose of peace and prosperity, not raise my hand to you to make you feel threatened and beat you into obedience.
I am not above you, I am equal to you.
You must open your mind to my words to take in the message of which I seek to send.
Your heart must be outside; you must trust my soft embracement.
You must give to me your eyes, to notice the scars left from the pain on my body.
You cannot break me into submission any longer.
You must not give into others, not let them take you down to their level. You must instead stand up tall and offer them your hand.
Let them know they may shine as bright as a star passing overhead.
Let them know they may attain the shooting star they wish upon.
Show them that dreams can come true.
Let them know.
Let them know all they must do is let their inner light shine, although the inner darkness may never lighten.
For it matters not about their corruption, it matters of the light; no matter how small, and how much it can shine like the sun.
Let the pleasure of committing an act that can change somebody's life shine over the anger of another's act.
For we act as one
We suffer as one
And we fall, as one.
