Hold On
Fear is the weakness inside of our hearts,
Wanna get rid of it,
This is how it starts,
You throw away the pain and the voices in your ear,
You throw away the doubts that say hope is not near,
Because when you were a kid, your eyes would beam,
They could only grasp onto the thing that is a dream,
"You can be anything you want",
That is what my parents said,
I had some of the craziest ideas in my head,
"I wanna be an astronaut, no, I wanna be a soldier!"
Thinking about the ideas makes me wanna get hit by a boulder,
But even if they were crazy, they made me believe,
They made me believe that I had something to achieve,
So that is my lesson about never giving in,
You can never stop,
You can only begin.
