Skytop Serenity From atop my lofty haven
I read poems to the birds
I spill my anguish into the wind
Or, at least, what I can put into words

The feathers of the glossy black
Caressing, cradling, cleansing
My mind of my earthly failures

When loves lithe life crumbles
Ascend with the blackest of ravens
A neutral eternity of wind
Serene silence
Save for, savour, the beating of wings
