Revolution Night
Dressed up peaky pale
In fashion, white of deathly throes
With foppish wigs and houndish tails
The damned do march, themselves the foes
Or did they prance from right,
From moral wind divinely sought,
To fire on revolution night,
To cruel an act, so swiftly brought
For Madame has no foes,
But victims claimed for her own,
With edicts only to dispose,
From those aloft the righteous throne.
