A birthday wish for me to challenge life everyday
staying strong & bold
facing life's realities
the way my stories told

finally turning 50
doing what I must
sifting threw the ashes
& sweeping up the dust

erasing all the drama
from how life use to be
showing my son everyday
how much he means to me

a portrait of the life I need
in every single way
just to be a dad
& knowing what to say

this is how I celebrate
50 years for me
to make a life of happiness
become Reality
