Life is a Hard Drive
Life is a hard drive.
There/'/s downloads we wish could be erased;
the trashcan doesn/'/t mean they/'/re gone-
some not wanted ever there,
this giga life life we wish redrawn.
The meta and the beta too,
forever stored with some to rue,
yet in those little bits and bytes-
the ones that keep us up at night,
they mix and mingle with treasured saves,
still there when we repose,
uncaring, in our grave.
Our soul (mine at least a Tera-byte),
over time corrupted, cleaned, re zipped re-swiped
eight layers down till what once was
is buried deep in droves and troves,
fished, thrown back, these loves these sorrows,
with key stroked care, discard or keep?
Mayhap to dump /'/ere I back to sleep.
This whirling drive of our life-
yes...hard indeed.
