unspoken words lost in that place of memory in my heart the void
that holds only emptiness and unsung songs of life
dreams left on the windowsill of time- nothingness
gone, never tangible though for a fleeting moment
once upon a time happiness was a nirvana, a truth
now it is but a fragment of longing...

now untouchable love, the beauty, the heart smiles
destroyed in the wind like ashes from blazing fire
taken by life's hand in a split second of the fates
photographs still exist true it was once real enough
the sun shines through the trees from the heavens-
above the clouds- his soul, smile, love...

my heart holds onto these memories and i breathe
in and out/day and night- as we ride around the sun
it can warm the skin though not the hurtful place
only the hug that will never again come could ever
do that- break the ice crystals and melt the pain
but i would do it all again...
