MY DEAREST my dearest
i may should not write, but i will
what comes hereafter is nothing but poetry
so, i will write
what light breaks through my window?
is it the light of you?
is it what i have felt through many a trial and tribulation?
is it you that brings to my heart something true?
what is it?
i do ask, and implore
love is a child
it comes unannounced to the world
yet, it is still there, in your heart and in mine
do not measure it, as it cannot be measured
it only exists as we both do
powerful it might as well be, and it is
it will transcend the both of us
God! thank you for your little gift
to you so small, to us so great
my dearest, i will always love you
forever, that is my promise...
