Oblivious and in denial
I’ll float across
Your path and
Gaze into your far away face
I’ll feel like getting closer
So I’ll pick up a hammer
And break the walls
Keeping me from you
I’ll hate the world
For being so vast
I’ll hate this continent
For having its borders
I’ll hammer away in false anger
Afraid to lose the love
That kept me going
Refusing to believe my mind’s products
I’ll axe down the trees
And keep you in sight
I’ll fly to your location
And gaze impatiently
I’ll follow as close as I can
I’ll watch you and protect you
Through my dreams
How long must I wait father?
