With Each New Dull Day I am no longer ashamed
Nor am I still scared

I am not the one to blame
Nor do I seem to care

If you have bothered to remember my name
Don’t speak it
For I will not be there

If you came to seek assistance
Or forgiveness
Turn around
Your not welcomed here

This is no longer your home
These are no longer your walls
Your belongings have been discarded
This is no longer your cause
Free like you always wanted
You are now completely absolved

I am not allowed to show you how I feel
I have been so ordered
By my voice
I am never to kneel
Thou shall not kill
But steal I will
To feel
Alive
I am not afraid
Yet I shiver uncontrollably
Unsafe

If you have come to your senses
Then let them fall once again

If this is how you are to be remembered
Then let the days not pass in vain
