Briar
Don't come too close you might get pricked
A drop of blood to go unlicked.
My thorns are sharp don't get too near.
My vines are something to be feared.
I may look mean and really tough,
But still I break if you're too rough.
I look really strong, but I'm weak underneath
That's why I bite with my pointy sharp teeth.
My skin is spiked, my bones are brittle,
When you're so cruel I feel so little.
To my soul I feel the sting of pain.
It's a wonder that I'm not insane.
I grow out of the ground from a lack of devotion
I am devoid of all emotion
I go through life without knowing true fire
I am unloved. I am a briar.
