Thoughts of you and me I cannot put my finger on it,
but there is something there,
between the hearts of you and me,
but do you even care?
You try to say it will not work,
my friends all tell me too,
I will not dismiss this feeling,
for my heart longs for you.
I now believe this cannot work,
because we are too close.
I do not want to lose my friend,
then my heart would be broke.
Yet, you and I are such good friends,
I want to ask of you,
to share your feelings of this love,
and what I am to do.
You say that I should let it go,
because we'll never be,
all that I had hoped us to,
although you do love me.
You say that it's because you care,
that you push me away.
You think you are undeserving,
now hear the words I say.
I love you for the man you are,
and what you do to me,
when I am in your loving arms,
I feel a sense of peace.
You make me forget all my fears,
and never want to leave.
so Will you always stay with me,
for our two lives to weave?
I guess this didn't help at all,
for you are still with her.
So from my mind I must cast out,
all thoughts of you and me.
