Stanzas of Disappointments and Betrayals
Weak and cold.
Calculated
meaningless words
used to scold.
Lies unfold.
Countless told.
Kept disclosed within a box
for ages.
Tears spill.
Pens fill
and take to parchment
once again.
Levees fail.
Man made
walls cave.
Filthy scavengers
wallow in the mire of
hated places
with twisted faces.
Misled feelings
of desire.
Create some space
hesitate
contemplate.
Come to the stone house
throw rocks
crow like cocks
indeed
I do not care.
Frustrated
with the mind
of those
who inhabit
my earthly realm
Mouths of babes
moving
whilst brain remains
idle.
Use your cellphone
punch numbers
with long fake nails.
Decaying entrails
only blind eyes
can see.
So, I'm growing old
(my soul)
feeling cold.
Betrayed by a race of clones
I do not know.
False skin tones
made from beds of light.
Silicone breasts
sculpted by a knife.
Painted masks.
Faces erased.
Misplaced.
I've got a bad taste
what a waste.
I'm standing here
staring into an ocean
vast.
Heaving emesis
of disgruntled woes.
Unconquered foes
falling victim
to carrion crows.
Stepped onto
too many toes.
Looking for some sign
something familiar
to ease the mind
of one stricken
by so much failure.
Sinking in a tar slick.
Snake bit
lost in a
deep pit
of death and disease.
Something surely
will appease
the gods
I see
swirling in
a haze of
smokeless clouds
surrounding me.
