Re-Born
Invisible the tiny thread that ties me to the past
I reach the shores of Cornwall, the place that holds me fast
I stand amongst the ruins, a castle there ahd been
I stand transfixed amongst them as I survry the scene
The buildings and the gardens that once had been my home
I hear the voices whisper and know I'm not alone
I watch the waves come crashing upon the rocks below
The memories come flooding as strong tides ebb and flow
My spirit calls a welcome to times when knights were bold
I see them on the turrets, their armour shines like gold
Dear Lancelot is waiting, I wish that he could see
I call to him in welcome, i hope he sees it's me
As time stands still I'm walking amongst those times once more
A lady of the castle that's perched above the shore
A feast, a ball in progress, to music I do sway
When suddenly I'm lifted towards my wedding day
The wine is overflowing, the maidens dance and sing
In goblets of pure silver such magic potions spring
All time has been forgotten, y love has broken through
I've returned to my homeland and I have come to you
But now the present beckons and I must leave again
I know that I will see you although I don't know when
I hear a voice is calling, I look and there I see
My love re-born in my time is waiting here for me
