Don't Give Up
Every day always has some news, good or bad,
For you it may seem more bad than good.
But think of how you were a wonderful dad,
And of how in your sons eyes how proud you stood.
Yesterday may have seemed like the worst day ever,
But believe me tomorrow won't be better.
Remember you've been with your wife forever,
That proves you care more than any love letter.
What I'm trying to say is don't focus on pain,
But instead focus on all of the love you have given.
Sure there are some bad times in your life,
But you'll always have a wonderful son and wife.
You taught your son how to hunt and fish,
And a good leg for you was his only wish.
He may not have been lucky enough to have that come true,
but he was lucky enough to grow up with a father like you.
I know you better than to just let you give up,
So please grandpa you have to cowboy up.
So grandpa don't let this setback stop you from going on living,
Because you still have a lot of love for the giving.
